Trying to educate yourself on Autism is a never-ending process.
The last couple nights I was doing some reading and found two stories that I wanted to share.
It’s about two MLB players; one current and one retired. Both at different stages in their careers and in life.
Both have baseball in common, both have children with autism.
The Athletic did a feature on Tampa Bay Rays outfielder and first baseman, Harold Ramírez. His son, Elian was diagnosed with autism three years ago. Ramirez dyed his hair blue to help put more of a spotlight on autism with the hope of educating more people on the subject (Blue is the color for autism awareness).
You may know the name of who I’m gonna talk about next! Will Clark, the Thrill. The list of accolades could go on and on; blessed with one of the greatest left-handed swings the game has ever seen.
