I want to share something a bit different but immensely meaningful to me. I recently received an email from a pro wrestler. The recognition was unexpected and appreciated. Most importantly, this struck a chord with me because of the content of his note.
He told me he’s been following my articles, interviews etc… and his message focused on the delivery of my words.
“You don’t pretend to be something I’m not. You have a unique message only you can tell, and that positivity can affect people.”
These words, coming from someone I’ve never met, underscore the universal struggle and desire for connection and understanding we all face, regardless of our walks of life.
When I write, it’s not about getting likes or the accolades. This was a wake-up call. A real reminder of why I share my journey, particularly the running updates. It positively impacts my mental well-being, and it may do the same in someone else’s.
Speaking of which, as we continue with our March Miles challenge, we’re nearing 30 miles and I’m only a third of the way through the month.
As I aim for 60 km and beyond in back-to-back months, let’s remember the power of our own shared narratives. With all their ups and downs, we have the potential to reach out and touch lives in profound ways.
