The Golden Baseball League and the Northern league have combined forces again!
In December I wrote about a joint all-star spectacle, that will pit themselves against each other in their All-Star games this year and next.
This time, the two front-runners in independent baseball are, for the first time, holding an all independent tryout open to all free agents and those that dream of playing professional baseball.
According to the Golden Baseball League website, all indy teams in the US are invited and have been granted permission to sign and draft all eligible players. Japanese independent leagues, the Mexican minor leagues, and European leagues have also been given the “ok” to attend and partake in the “festivities”.
For all aspiring players looking for a chance, this it. The odds definitely in your favor, as you have numerous sets of eyes looking for their next prospect.
Yes their will be more competition, but that is what sport is all about, succeeding over adversity.
Tryouts will be held over a two-day period with contract offers announced when day two winds down.
