The Vancouver Canadians, single-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics continue to make changes from within.
The departure of former general manager Andrew Seymour, who recently took a position with the Grand Prairie AirHogs of the independent American Association, left an opening at the top.
Jason Takefman, who has been with the club since 2006, has accepted the position of general manager, the 11th in the club’s history dating back to 1978.
“Jason’s growth within our organization is a testament to his hard work and dedication,” says Canadians President Andy Dunn.
“Over the past few seasons it has become apparent that Jason was fit for this role and I am certain that he will have great success in his new expanded role”.
In other advancements, Rob Fai, will continue to handle his media and broadcast duties, and JC Fraser, who will continue his involvement in stadium operations, will assume assistant general manager duties within the organization.
